NORMAN EDWARD WHITTAKER

WHITTAKER, NORMAN EDWARD - The death of Norman Edward Whittaker husband of the late Elizabeth Whittaker occurred on Saturday December 6, 2008 at The Loch Lomond Villa. Born 1931 he was the son of the late Noble and Georgia (Smith) Whittaker. Norman had worked as a Pipe Fitter at Lawton's Plumbing and Heating for 40 years. Norman was a member of local 213 plumbers and pipe fitters. He is survived by four sons Faryl (Sheila) of Grove Hill, Victor (Valerie) of Barnesville, Donald (Susan) of Willow Grove, Brent (Gwen) of Grove Hill; one daughter Dugna London (Rick Howe) of Rothesay; four brothers Gilbert of Harvey, Ralph (Diann) of Greenwich, James Howard (Diane) of Saint John, Wayne (Donna) of Greenwich; four sisters Beatrice (Pat) Blanchard of Saint John, Linda (Allan) Banks of Fredericton, Audrey Whittaker of Halifax and Zelma Whittaker also of Halifax; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents and wife Norman was predeceased by one brother, Earle Whittaker and one sister, Christine Brooks. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitations on Monday December 8th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday December 9, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
