It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rosannah Hickey announce her passing on Friday January 18, 2008 at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 78. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Roberta (Shawn) Pottle, Lark Harbour, Barbara (Paul) Blanchard, Scarborough, ON, Marion (Floyd) Evoy, Benoits Cove, step- daughter Lorena (Frank) Pike, Corner Brook; seven grandchildren: Angela, Nicole, & Joanna Pottle, Tawnya & Tawsha Evoy, Paul & Natalie Rose Blanchard and two special children Alicia & Nathaniel; special nephew Eric (Mabel) MacDonald, Benoits Cove; special friend Janet Tucker, Frenchmans Cove; brother William MacDonald, Frenchmans Cove; sister Rebecca Lampshire, Halifax; sisters-in-law: Gertrude McCarthy, Mary (Robert) McCarthy, Dorothy (Ross) Companion all of Benoits Cove, Monica (Johnny) Lauretig, Montreal, Vera Hickey, Halfway Point, Mildred Hickey, Benoits Cove, Phoebe MacDonald, Frenchmans Cove; brother-in-law James (Sylvia) Hickey, Benoits Cove; numerous nephews and nieces especially Hazel Connolly, Laura Ryan, Marie Gallant, Leona White, Kevin Hickey, Marty Hickey and many special friends: Flo Allen, Jackie Wheeler, Brenda White and Hilda Hackett. She was predeceased by her husband Nathaniel Hickey, parents Ernest and Ester MacDonald, two babies Harry & and Elma, brothers Edward, Cecil and Ernest MacDonald, sister Violet Connolly, mother & father-in-law James and Mary Anne Hickey. The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 20th at 2:00 p.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Benoits Cove Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
