NICHOLS, JEAN ABBIE - Jean Nichols' last ship sailed on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a 10-year courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Born in 1943 in Hartland, NB she was the daughter of the late Neville and Marjorie (Price) Hill. Jean was very proud of her daughters, sons-in-law and grandsons for their continued support and love. She guided them and now we can guide her. Jean was a hairdresser for many years; she started traveling to many places in 1991 and never stopped for 16 years. She is survived by her daughters, Lori (Nichols) Marr (Steven) of Long Reach and Brenda Nichols (Don Stein) of Saint John; brothers, Weldon Hill (Heather) of Cold Lake, AB and David Hill (Lori) of Summerville, NB; brother-in-law, Glen Braydon (Dottie) of Saint John; grandchildren, Tyler J. Marr, Bradley S. Marr and Nickolas A. Stein; nieces and nephews, Natalie (Hill) Colette (Rob), Curtis Hill, Chris Braydon, Sarah Braydon, Ben Hill and Julia Hill; Great niece Noelle Collette; Great Nephew Justin Collette and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Susan (Hill) Braydon; sister-in-law, Theckla (Boyst) Hill; and husband, Bordie Nichols. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424), with visitations on Monday, December 22 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 23 at 2 pm. Interment will take place in Harding's Point Cemetery in the spring.
