KARNES, VIVIAN R. - Beloved Sister and Aunt, Vivian R. Karnes of Woodstock, NB passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at her home. She was born at Woodstock, NB on April 19, 1914. Daughter of the late William and Ellen (Riordon) Karnes. She is survived by her sister, Natalie McGuire (John) and her brother, Kenneth Karnes. Sisters-in-law, Glenna Karnes and Peggy Karnes. Nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her Sisters; Katherine Victory, Joey Glanville, Eleanor Cormier, Alice Karnes, Gertrude Karnes, Louise Sharkey, Margaret Jordan. Her Brothers Allan, Donald and John Karnes. Vivian and her sisters founded and operated the Karnes Tea Room. She played an important role in the Karnes Kitchen. Visitation at her home, 212 Houlton Road, Woodstock on Monday, January 5, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00p.m. and 7:00 to 8:00p.m. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude's Church, with Father Bill Brennan officiating. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in the spring. If so desired, donations to the St. Gertrude's Church or the Calvary Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
