Thaddeus (Ted) Russell passed peacefully away on February 5, 2008 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville at the age of 95 years. Ted will be sadly missed by his sons: Mark (Marion), Lyle (Evelyn), all of Kippens and Ray (Rita) of Fall River, Nova Scotia and daughter, Bernadette Shanaman of Rapid City, South Dakota as well as a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Josephine (White) Russell and his parents, Joe and Adeline Russell and daughter, Lorna, three brothers: Norbert Russell, Gus Russell, Harold Russell and sister, Beatrice White. Ted was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Stephenville. Ted and his wife Josie ran a grocery business in Kippens for 43 years. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 8th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, West Street, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Stephen’s Parish Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated.
