VAIL, ENID MAE (WENTWORTH) - Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on January 17th, 2009, Mrs. Enid Mae (Wentworth) Vail, wife of the late Mr. Warren E. Vail of St. George, NB. Born at L'Etete, NB on February 17th, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Julia (Dewar) Wentworth. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, Enid is survived by one son, Everett "Teddy" (Judy) Vail of St. George; three daughters, Susan (William) Frye of St. Stephen, Diane Louise (Joseph) Majtenyi of St. Catherines, ON and Laura Anne Morehouse (Neil Morrow) of Oak Bay, NB; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Barbara) Wentworth of Irwinton GA and John (Paulette) Wentworth of L'Etete; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Warren; she was predeceased by one grandson, Julian; and two great-grandsons, Kaylum and Mitchell. Prior to her retirement Enid worked as a Registered Nurse for 30 years and retired from the Fundy Hospital at Blacks Harbour. In her quiet time she enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, reading and doing various puzzles. She was also a great lover of animals and held an interest in local history and genealogy. She was a long time member of the Pennfield United Baptist Church. Enid will be sadly missed by her family, colleagues and many friends. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium, (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. The service will be held on Wednesday at 2pm from the Pennfield United Baptist Church with Reverand Grant Alcorn officiating. The interment will be held at the Brockway Union Cemetery in the spring.
