BROOKS, DELBERT LEROY - 1928 - 2009 - At River View Manor Bath, NB, on Sunday, January 18, 2009, Delbert Leroy Brooks of Bristol passed away at the age of 80. Delbert was born in Bristol, son of the late Dana and Doris (Dyer) Brooks and husband to Elsie Isabelle Newlands Brooks. Delbert is survived by his loving wife Elsie, his children, Cheryl Clark, Blain (Mary Harris), Blair (Millie) and Lyle (Susan), eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sister, Faye Staten (Bernard) brothers, Vaughn (Maureen) and Norvil (Julie). Delbert was predeceased by sisters, Velma and Patsy and a brother, Gailen. Resting at Kilcollins Funeral Home Bath, NB, with visiting on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm from Faith Memorial United Church Florenceville, NB, Rev. Les Johnston to officiate. Interment will be in the Bristol Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to a memorial of the donor's choice.
