WEATHERBY, MELVIN JOSEPH - After a long, courageous battle with his health, Mel died on January 21, 2009 at Lincourt Manor in St. Stephen at the age of 88. He was the husband of the late Mona Theresa (McShane) Weatherby and the son of the late George and Pearl (Kilpatrick) Weatherby. He is survived by two sons; Allan (Debi) Weatherby and Bob Weatherby, two daughters; Sandra (Gerald) McCrossin and Betty (Brent) Calder, all of St. Stephen, brother-in-law; James McShane, St. Stephen, sisters-in-law; Juanita (Dick) Dickerson of Oromocto, Geraldine (Harvey) Childs of Calais, Geraldine (Carl) McShane of St. Stephen and Cairine (Harold) McShane of St. Stephen, grandchildren; Christopher (Kelly) McCrossin, Karla (Pete) McCrossin, Stephanie Weatherby, Emily Weatherby, and Ryan Weatherby, two step granddaughters; Pam (Trevor) MacMillan and Melanie (Mike) Duffy, two great grandchildren, Ty and Kali Weatherby, four step- great grandchildren; Danielle and Dustin Hawkins, Jordyn MacMillan and Evan Noddin and a special friend; Maxine Garnett. He was predeceased by his wife, parents, infant grandson; Kevin McCrossin and his sister; Lois (Ralph) Nutter. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd., St. Stephen, NB on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11 AM. Interment at Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB on Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM.
