SANDS, THERESA LORRAINE - It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce Lorraine's passing after a brief but courageous battle with cancer at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 27, 2009. Born in Saint John July 20, 1959 Lorraine is the daughter of Barbara (nee Hodgin) and Edwin Sands. Besides her parents, Lorraine is survived by two sons, Travis Paul and Terrill Dean; two brothers, Stephen and Anthony Sands, Saint John; three sisters, Jean (Wayne) Allaby, Oromocto, Norma (Brent) Crawford, Willow Grove and Ann Sands (Ronald Kingston), Rothesay; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Lorraine is also survived by her special companion Joseph Atwell and many friends. Lorraine was predeceased by her infant son John Paul in 1981. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visiting on Wednesday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. Vigil prayers will be held Wednesday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 10:00am at St. Alphonsus Church, Hampton. Interment will take place in the spring at Sacred Heart Church Cemetery, Norton, NB.
