BEARDMORE, DAVID J. - The death of David Joseph Beardmore, husband of Martha Beardmore of Rothesay, New Brunswick occurred on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1943 in Toronto, Ontario he was the son of the late Joseph and Nora (Gee) Beardmore. David worked as an Information Technology Systems Specialist with Nortel Networks for 36 years and worked for Computer Sciences Corp. for 2 years before retiring in 2003. He was a member of Saint David's United Church, Saint David's Men's Club, and KV Woodworkers. Besides his loving wife of many years, he is survived by his daughter Jil Beardmore and partner Mr. Aryeh Stegenga of Ottawa, Ontario and many friends. With gratitude for his devotion, sense of humour, loving heart, sportsmanship, and community service. All who loved him will miss him tremendously. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. By request there will be no visitation a memorial service will be held at Saint David's United Church, Rothesay on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to a charity of the donor's choice.
