HUXLEY BENJAMIN RIPLEY BROWN
BROWN, HUXLEY BENJAMIN RIPLEY - Huxley Benjamin Ripley Brown, at the age of 70, passed away at home on Sunday February 1, 2009. Born April 28, 1938 in Athol, NS he was the son of the late Carl and Elsie (Ripley) Brown. Huxley moved to New Brunswick in 1965, he dearly loved his sports and coached baseball and hockey. He was a proud union man for Local 3; he was a good negotiator and loved a good argument. He was a Toronto Maple Leaf fan. He worked as a welder at the Saint John Shipbuilding for 32 years. He was a hard worker and was so proud of his four children. He always said "I got good kids". He is survived by his loving wife Rose of 50 years, his children Rick (Deana), Cheryl Currie (Randy), Trevor (Nova Lee) and Jennifer Campbell (Joe); grandchildren Katie, Aaron, Colton, Jade, Dylan, Alex and Zoe; great granddaughter Ava; brother Shirley William Brown; sister Carol Bickmore; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother Norby and sister Beverley. Dad, we love you and we will miss you sitting with Mom in the garage on good days. Rest in peace. Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday February 6, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday February 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Athol, NS at a later date.
