WHITENECT, CHARLES THOMAS - The death of Charles Thomas Whitenect, of Hatfield Point, NB, age 97 occurred at the residence of his daughter, on Sunday, February 1, 2009. Charles was the husband of the late Eleanor May (Henderson) Whitenect and son of the late George and Georgie Wood (Trott) Whitenect. He is survived by daughter Natalie Renshaw of Rothesay; grandson John Renshaw of Saint John; several great-grandchildren; paternal niece Joan (Bjarnason) Leggett; several maternal nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Mary Vail, Frances Bjarnason and Violet Cosman. He is resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Sherwood's Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Interment will be in Bayview Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
