MCDOWELL, MARION - in her 84th year, entered into rest in Ottawa, Ontario on January 31, 2009. The youngest of seven children, May grew up in a family that was spirited and supportive. With eyes sparkling and smile flashing, she could recount a story that enchanted. Her wonderful laugh will be remembered with great affection. Left to mourn are her husband of 54 years, Rupert; cherished daughter, Sandra; beloved grandchildren, Alexandra and Adam; Rupert's family - Ernest and Verna, Ruth and Walter, Don and Dorothy, Joyce. Marion was predeceased by daughter Leslie; brothers Alex, John and Norman; sisters Cis and Cathy. Heartfelt thanks to sister-in-law Joyce and nieces who helped with her care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society of Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
