It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Edsel Harkness announce his passing at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s on Monday, March 24, 2008 at the age of 76 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Monica and two sons: Gwyer and Dwyer and wife, all of Ontario, one daughter, Cherie and husband of West Bay, three step-sons: Doug McCarthy, Pat McCarthy, Joey McCarthy and one step-daughter Rose McCarthy, three sisters: Joanne, Christine, Doris, all of USA and a large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. Friends may call at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Piccadilly on Thursday (after 11:00 a.m.). Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, March 28th at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Piccadilly with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Piccadilly. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
