NORMAN R. TOTTEN

TOTTEN, NORMAN R. - The death of Norman R. Totten of Barnesville, husband of Helen (White) Totten occurred February 10, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Barnesville, son of the late Ruel and Annabelle (Verner) Totten. Norman was a member of International Longshoremen's Association, Local 273. He enjoyed lumbering, farming, hunting and playing the mouth organ. He is survived by his wife Helen; three daughters, Doreen Hodgson (Allen), Darlene Totten (Peter Morehouse), Donna Lowe (Hartley), all of Barnesville; two sons, Robert Totten, Saint John, Sterling Totten (Theresa), Barnesville; daughter-in-law, Lana Totten, Saint John; three sisters, Lois Perry (Stanley Lockhart), Amherst, NS, Vera Northrup, Barnesville, Elma Cook, Barnesville; two brothers, Cecil Totten), Helen), Petitcodiac, Lorne Totten (Marlene), Barnesville; 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy; two brothers Leonard and Roy Totten and two grandsons Matthew Totten and Wesley Hodgson. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Wednesday. The funeral will be held Thursday, 1:00 pm at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Barnesville Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in the spring. Memorials to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
