IDA FRANCES ALBERTA GAMBLIN

GAMBLIN, IDA FRANCES ALBERTA - The death of Ida F. A. (Cheeseman) Gamblin, wife of the late Charles Gamblin occurred on February 16th, 2009 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Fairville on June 4th, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Silas A. and G. Maude (Perkins) Cheeseman. She was a member of the L.O.B.A. Baxter Lodge #92 and held the office of Worthy Mistress. She was also a member of Dominion Lodge #18, Chrystal Chapter #13, Pythian Temple #25, and was the R.W. Grand Mistress of the R.W. Grand Lodge of N.B. She was a life long member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Ida spent a great deal of time enjoying her summers at her cottage at Cassidy Lake. She made a lot of friends during her lifetime and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sister Isabella Hurd of Saint John and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Alice Shephard, Bertha Hinds, and Annie Shephard, and two brothers Murray Cheeseman and Charles Cheeseman. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). Visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 at 1 pm from Fallsview Chapel. Interment in Church of the Good Shepherd Cemetery in the spring. Following the service a reception will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. The Orange Lodge will hold a tribute service on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Fallsview.
