RYAN, JOE - Surrounded by his loving family, Joe Ryan of Barnesville, NB, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20th, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB in 1925, he was the son of the late Arthur and Eunice (Reynolds) Ryan. Joe is survived by his dear wife of 59 years, Margaret (Raymond) Ryan; nine children, Judith Ryan, Barnesville, Jean Sherwood (Phillip), Upham, Arthur Ryan (Carol), Loch Lomond Road, Christine Corner, Quispamsis, Frank Ryan (Wendy), Otter Lake, Sean Ryan (Lisa Brown), Loch Lomond Road, Lori Price (Stephen), Barnesville, Lynn Beyea (Dale London), Loch Lomond Road, Rebecca Ryan (Stephen Gillies), Rothesay, one sister, Marguerite Slattery, Rothesay, one brother, John Ryan (Donna), Millidgeville; sister-in-laws, Betty Ann Ryan of Barnesville and Sonja Ryan of Saint John; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by son Patrick Ryan and brothers, Clement and Gerald Ryan. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home, 1063 Main St, Hampton, NB, (506) 832-5541, with visitation on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Vigil Prayers will be held Sunday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 24th, 2009, at 11:00 AM, from St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hampton, NB. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Saint John.
