WALKER, MARY "MAYME" EVELINE (GARNETT) - The death of Mary "Mayme" Eveline (Garnett) Walker occurred on Monday February 23rd, 2009 at the St. Joseph's Hospital. Born 1922 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Harry Charles and Daisy E. (Davidson) Garnett. Mayme worked as a salesperson for Medjucks Furniture, was a Zellers employee for 15 years, she owned and operated Walkers Special Care Home and worked for Com Care. She is survived by her sons William of Amherstburg, ON and Jason (Christine) of Saint John; daughters Donna Skinner (James) of Manitoba, Susan Burnett (Daryl) of Fredericton Junction and Catherine Lutes (Glenn) of Fredericton; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three brothers Gary Garnett (Mavis) of Toronto, Jack Garnett (Faye) of Ripples, NB and Delbert Garnett (Sharon) of Ottawa; sister Joyce MacNeil (Chester) of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband Donald Roy Walker in 1989, brother Bill Garnett and sister Doreen Sparks. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Church of the Good Shepherd, 668 Manawagonish Road, on Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
