MATHESON, HELEN MAY - The death of Helen May Matheson, wife of the late Edgar Matheson, occurred on Saturday, February 28th, 2009 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in 1920 in Montreal, QC, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Mercer) Sheppard. Helen worked as a Savings Clerk at the Bank of Nova Scotia for several years. She is survived by two daughters, May Matheson-Thomas (Aubrey) of Yarmouth, ME and their daughters, Megan Thomas Genthner (Michael) and Aubin Thomas, both of Maine, and one great-grandson, Max Genthner, ME and Marie Matheson (Nick Soper) of Gander, NL and their children, Robin Soper, CA, Hilary Soper and Katie Soper, NL. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Following cremation visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009 from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm. Memorial Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 at 2pm. At Helen's request no flowers.
