ARMSTRONG, JOSEPH ALAN - The death of Mr. Joseph A. Armstrong, husband of the late Monica D. (Sheils) Armstrong of Saint John West noccurred on Sunday, March 1st, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Armstrong was a life long parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. He served in WWII with the RCAF as a tail gunner on the Lancaster Bomber, and was a member of the RCL Branch #69. He is survived by three sons, Blake Armstrong, Scott Armstrong and Philip (Tracy Lewis) Armstrong, all of Saint John; five daughters, Lynda (Don) McFedridge of Saint John, Joanne Shaw of Saint John, Monica (Sheldon) Gould of Toronto, Lois (Tim) Brace of Vancouver, WA and Carol Armstrong of Saint John; and grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Cleghorn, Alexandra Gould, Sean, Jared and Cole Brace, Bootsie Armstrong and Monica and Grace Peterson, Lara, Niki and Jake Shaw. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701). Visiting on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 at 12 noon from Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A reception will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre following the burial. A tribute to a Veteran Service will be held at Fallsview on Tuesday at 7 pm.
