GOGGIN, AUSTIN - Goggin, T. Austin, 81, Sussex Corner, and formerly of Elgin, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 4, 2009. Born in Petitcodiac, he was a son of the late T. Coy and Rena (Smith) Goggin. Austin is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Bannister); his son, Fred (Bernadette), and her children, Natalie and Jason. Besides his parents, Austin was predeceased by his brother Arthur Goggin and his sister Alda Setchell. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. James Hammond presiding in the Elgin Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Old Elgin Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac. The family wish to extend a special thank-you to the Sussex Extra-Mural nurses for going above and beyond; to special neighbors, Wayne and Emma Brown; and to all the family and friends who visited Austin in the hospital that helped make his day a little brighter.
