LOIS VELMA MCKINNEY

MCKINNEY, LOIS VELMA - The death of Lois McKinney, of Barnesville, NB, wife of Roland McKinney, occurred Thursday, March 5th, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Lois was from Newline Road, Sussex, NB and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elima (Price) Price. Lois was a faithful member of the Anglican Church Auxiliary of Upham. She ran a foster home for many years and enjoyed quilting and sewing. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Besides her husband, Roland, Lois is also survived by three daughters, Darlene Bradley (Robert), Wanda Knorr (Gordon) and Marlene Jarvis (Keith), all of Barnesville; four sons, Austin McKinney (Sandra), Eddie McKinney (Leola), both of Barnesville, Jimmy Flaglor, PEI and Victor Walton, Sussex; two sisters, Margaret Robinson, NB and Nellie Hannberry, ON; three brothers, Gerald Price, Neil Price and Jack Price, all of NB; 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lois was also predeceased by three sisters, Ethel McConchie, Ruth Price and Geraldine McKay (Gilbert) and grandson, Benjamin McKinney. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, (506) 832-5541, with visitation Friday and Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 9th, 2009, at 11:00 AM, from the chapel of Reid's Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Barnesville.
