RALPH BLAINE CAMPBELL
CAMPBELL, RALPH BLAINE - Ralph Blaine Campbell, 93 of Kingston Peninsula, NB died at Saint John, NB, on March 8th, 2009. Born January 16th, 1916 he was the son of the late Lester Campbell and Olive Gertrude (Hovey) Campbell-Andrews. He is survived by his 11 children Burton (Kathy) Barnesville, Joseph (Liliane) Montreal, Lenora (John) Poulos, Fredericton, Terry (Kathy), Kingston, Paul, Kingston, Anne, Halifax, Hazel (Greg Murphy), Halifax, Roscoe (Joan), Kingston, Eloise (Roger) Tracy, Fredericton, Juanita MacLean, Fredericton, Rebecca, Kingston, sister Marjorie (Winston) Smith, 32 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Jean (Betts), daughter in law Margaret "Margie", brothers Clarence, Clayton and Burton Campbell, and Ernest (Ernie) and Leonard Douglas Andrews and step-father Leonard William Andrews. Dad enjoyed a long term career with the International Longshoremen's Association Local 273, retiring in 1980 as Business Agent for the Port of Saint John. Dad was famous for wearing his bowler hat and carrying his brolly "umbrella" acquired during his several trips to Europe. Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, NB. Friends will be received at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ralph will be held in the Chapel at Reid's Funeral Home on Friday, March 13th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Erb's Cove Cemetery in the Spring. Reception to follow at the Lighthouse River Centre (next door to Reid's Funeral Home), Hampton, NB. Donations to the Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
