POWER, EDMUND LAWRENCE C.D. - In his 95th year, Edmund Power died at the Mountain View Manor in Delta, BC on Friday, March 13th, 2009. Born in Saint John, a son of the late Austin and Alice (McCarthy) Power. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Devlin) on January 16th, 2009. Also predeceased by his sisters, Alice (Louis) McGrath, Gertrude (John) Russell, and Irene (Clarence) Buchanan; and brothers, Austin (Marion), and John (Bertha). Survived by three daughters, Mary (Larry) Wold, Irene (Bob) Lanoville, and Kathleen (Jim) Currie, all of British Columbia; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Edmund served on the Waskesiu, Canada's first frigate, during the Second World War and retired from the R.C.A.F. Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Delta, BC, on Saturday, March 21st.
