McQUINN, BARBARA ERNESTINE - Following a lengthy, courageous and dignified battle with cancer, the death of Barbara Ernestine (Clark) McQuinn occurred on Friday, March 20, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with her family by her side. Born April 25, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Jean (Guest) (Clark) (Saunders) and Ernest W. Clark. Barbara, a life long resident of Quispamsis, contributed unconditionally to her family, friends and neighbours. Her values, integrity and gifts of love were always of utmost valor and positive intention, even in the most challenging of times. Predeceased by her husband Frank and brothers William Clark, Donald Saunders and Oswald Saunders. Survived by her daughter Sandra (Eric) Hardy; sons, Donald (Barb Campbell) and Wayne (Sandy) all of Quispamsis; one brother David (Betty) Saunders; grandsons Daniel, Justin, Jonathan and Ryan; great granddaughters Amerson and Meghan and a great grandson Hunter; sister in law, Doreen Saunders. The family would like to express their gratitude for the professional care and attention of the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers of the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John, NB (646-2424) Monday, March 23, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A Memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, at 11 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Interment will follow at a later date.
