FORSYTHE, CHARLES (JUNIOR) GRANT - The death of Charles (Junior) Grant Forsythe husband of Treva (Nowlan) Forsythe of Strathadam, NB, occurred on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 88. Born in Hilltop, NB, he was the son of the late Grant and Jennie (Mullin) Forsythe. He was a member of St. Philip's United Church, Whitney, he was listed in the Canadian Army- Artillary, a retired self-employed Welder and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 90, Sunny Corner. Besides his wife: Treva, Junior is survived by: two daughters: Sandra Furlotte (Robert) of Prince Edward Island; Carol Ann Forsythe at home; one son: Donald of Saint John, NB; one granddaughter: Katie Gillis (Robert) of Calgary, AB; five sisters: Audrey Donovan of Brampford, ON; Eleanor Steele of Miramichi, NB; Sadie McNeil (John) of Moncton; Doreen Alexander of Port Hawksbury, NS; Margaret Russell (Keith) of Strathadam, NB; two brothers: William (Mary) of Miramichi; Peter (Nora) of Ottawa, ON; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents: Junior is predeceased by: two sisters: Dorothy and Kathleen and four brothers: Gayer, Edward, John and James. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 2 PM with Rev. Blair Whyte officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Philip's United Church Cemetery later in the spring. In Junior's memory, donations may be made to the St. Philip's United Church or the VON Nurses.
