MARGUERITE - 1955 - 2009 PITRE
PITRE, MARGUERITE - 1955 - 2009 - Mrs. Marguerite Pitre, wife of Raymond Pitre, of Miramichi, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009, at the Miramichi Hospital, at the age of 53. Born in Québec City, she was the daughter of the late Sylvio and Léda (Dufour) Forbes. She worked as a secretary and was a member of la communauté chrétienne de Carrefour Beausoleil. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Pitre; her mother Léda Forbes, of Québec; three brothers Abel (Lisette) Forbes, Mario (Susanne) Forbes, and Denis Forbes, all of Québec; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, she was predeceased by one brother Jean Forbes. The family received relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, March 20, 2009, from Paroisse de L'Ascension, in Beaverbrook, at 11am with Father Paulin officiating. Organist Lucille Blacquière led the congregation in the singing of the hymns "Il faut marcher de très longues routes", "Tu es toute belle", and "Seigneur des temps nouveaux". A poem, written by Marguerite's nephew Mathieu, was read by her godson Alexandre and Jeannine Morris also gave a reading. Active pallbearers were Abel Forbes, Mario Forbes, Jerry Pitre, Jacques Bernier, Léonda Pitre, and Ian Pitre. In memory of Marguerite, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
