JAMES BERNARD LOCKWOOD

LOCKWOOD, JAMES BERNARD - James Bernard Lockwood, Jr. passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 25th, 2009 after a short illness. Born in Woodstock, he was the son of James B. Lockwood and Jennie (Hall) Lockwood on October 27, 1933. Jim was educated in Woodstock. During his youth he learned to play the trumpet and became a fine instrumentalist. He played locally in the Carleton York Militia Band for several years, and up until his last illness loved listening to the music of the Lawrence Welk hour on PBS. He was also a fine hockey player in his High School years. Jim has spent the last years of his life as a patient at the Saint John Centrecare Hospital where he was cared for with great love and kindness for which his family is forever grateful. He is survived by brothers, Paul (Dawn), Woodstock, N.B., John (Kathleen), Barrie, Ont., David (Margaret), Burton, N.B. and Sister Jeannine Folsom, Rockland, Maine, as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at this time with a graveside service to be held in the Spring. Arrangements under the care of The Chipman Funeral Home, 28 Northrup Drive, Chipman, N.B.
