PARADIS, MILDRED - At the Grand Falls Manor, March 31st, 2009, Mrs. Mildred (Ryan) Paradis passed away at the age of 87 years. She was the wife of the late Edward "Duke" Paradis. Born at Grand Falls in 1921, she was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Ida (Carroll) Ryan. She is survived by five daughters, Theresa Tillotson (late Paul) and Donna Slevin (late Paul) of Aberdeen, MD, Carol McIver (Bill Shortt) of Kingston, ON, Janet Rodakowski (Allen) of Wentzville, MO and Susan Daneluk (George) of Drummond, NB, three sons, Edward Jr. (Lucy) of Burlington, ON, Robert (Joy) of Poughkeepsie, NY and Paul of Toronto, ON, 14 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, three sisters, Noreen Jolley (Alex) of Salmon Arm, BC, Betty Moore (Kenneth) of Hoyt, NB and Letty Toner (Gordon) of Harvey Station, NB, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Marion Mersereau and three brothers, Frederick, Elmer and Joyner Ryan. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 9:30 to 11 am. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, April 4th at 11 am from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in the Assumption Cemetery.
