GOODINE, ALBERT FRANKLIN - Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, April 8th, 2009. Albert was born in Bear Island in 1937, the son of Gerald and Mona (McGrath) Goodine. He is survived by Andrea Dolan (Campbell) and his beloved daughters, Gail (Dale) Scott and Wendy (Keith) Cronkhite and their Mother, (Inez) and four loving granddaughters, Amanda and Cara Scott, Erica and Emily Cronkhite. Albert was predeceased by his mother, Mona Goodine, his brother Kenneth and his beloved son Brian. He is survived by his siblings, Edward (Polly) Goodine, Joyce (George) Brown, Roy (Priscilla) Goodine, Mary (Dwight) Moffatt, Hattie (John) Stickles, Patrick (Lisa) Goodine and Michael Goodine and several nieces and nephews. For many years he was President and General Manager of Custom Builders Ltd and involved with residential and commercial construction throughout the Province of New Brunswick. Albert was National President of The Canadian Hereford Association and is Past President of The Fredericton Exhibition, Fredericton City Club, Fredericton Home Builders Association. Fredericton Kinsmen Club, New Brunswick and Maritime Hereford Associations and the Founding President of the Fredericton Horsemen's Association. His life long passion was racing horses. Selecting yearlings and watching them develop into quality racing stock provided hours of great enjoyment - especially the "fast ones". Visitation to take place at McAdams Select Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton on Monday, April 13th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14th at 11:00 am in the chapel of McAdams Funeral Home with Rev. Jane Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
