TRACEY, WILLIAM (BILL) FRANCIS - of Quispamsis, husband of Emerise (Emily) (Despres) Tracey, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday April 12, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Born 1928 in Saint John he was the son of the late John Angelo and Florence (Debow) Tracey. Bill worked for CN Rail as a Car Controller for 44 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the CNR Pensioners, was an avid gardener and loved to hunt and fish. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his loving wife Emily of 57 years, he is survived by son Paul Tracey (Cynthia), daughters Mary Frances Daley (Brian) and Catherine McLaughlin (Steven) all of Saint John; grandchildren Shannon and Timothy Daley, Joshua, Heather and Jaime Tracey, Michael, Robert and Ryan McLaughlin; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Jack, Arthur and Bernard. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mark's Catholic Church on Thursday April 16, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
