DOBROTIC, JOSIP - The unexpected death of Josip Dobrotic, born July 21, 1942, formerly of Saint John, occurred on September 2, 2008, at his residence in Croatia. He came to Saint John from the former Yugoslavia in 1967. Joe was a baker by trade and was self-employed for several years. He was the son of the late Stjepan and (Julka) Dobrotic of Croatia. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his younger brother Ivan. Josip is survived by one brother Stjepan (Regina) Dobrotic of Croatia, his estranged wife Eileen Dobrotic of Quispamsis, and a son Peter Josip (Kimberly) Dobrotic USA, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral arrangements and interment took place in his native town of Vinica, Kraj Varazdina, Croatia.
