CLEDITH (ADAMS) WOODMAN
WOODMAN, CLEDITH (ADAMS) - The death of Cledith (Adams) Woodman of West Saint John, NB, wife of Thomas R. Woodman (deceased), occurred on Thursday, April 30th, 2009, in Halifax. Born in Saint John in 1926, she was the daughter of the late Charles "Posey" and Edna (Galbraith) Adams. She was a homemaker for all of her life and provided loving and supportive shelter for her husband of fifty-nine years, the late Thomas Robert Woodman and her daughter Faye Woodman Apostle. Besides her daughter she leaves surviving her, her son-in-law Richard Apostle, and her beloved grandson, Thomas of Halifax. After Tom's retirement, he and Cledith enjoyed staying at their summer home in Public Landing and winter trips to Florida. Their grandson frequently joined them at Public Landing and in their excursions. Cledith will be sadly missed by her brothers, Charles (Woodstock), Bruce (Brenda) (Port Alberni), sisters, Jean Butler, Ruth (J. Arthur) Gibbons, and Alta Long (all of Saint John). She was predeceased by her brother Glendon (Adrienne). She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters in law: Joan Pendleton, (Charlottetown), Valerie and Doug Mason and Garfield and Joan Woodman (all of Saint John) and nieces and nephews. Cledith is resting at Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John (634-1701), with visitation on Sunday, May 3rd, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 4th, from Fallsview at 1:00 PM. Reverends John Fraser and Bob Mercer will be officiating. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Castle Fallsview Family Reception Center.
