DRILLON, ALICE - The death of Mrs. Barbara Alice Drillon, wife of the late Gordon "Gordie" Drillon occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 8, 2009 in her 100th year. Born in Saint John West she was the daughter of the late Sarah Jane "Jenny" (Long) and George Daunt (Josh) Lee. Alice was well known in the sports community as a great supporter of the outstanding accomplishments of the Love of Her Life Gordie Drillon. Alice always welcomed those who came to visit her and Gordie. Alice was employed for the majority of her working life with HW Wilson Co. and was later Secretary to the Manager of CHSJ. Alice was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a life time member of St. George's Anglican Church in West Saint John. Alice is survived by 15 Nieces and Nephews, Nancy (Fred) White, Linda (Fred) Nice, Dr. Roger (Carol) Lee, Glendon Lee, Hilton (Gail) Lee, Gordon (Deborah) Lee, Bruce Lee, Bonnie Dexter, Carol (Rob) Cunningham, Michael Lee, Linda Bernard, Gordon Bernard, Alan Bernard, Karen Eustace, Tom Lettererick. She is survived by her sister-in-law Verna Lee and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by chosen daughter Nancy (LeRoy) Hoffman and Cheryl Kyle who were very special in her life. Predeceased by her brothers Allan, Harry, Dick and Jack as well as her only sister Sophia. Also predeceased by nephews Jack (Barb) Lee and Bob (Fran) Lee and chosen grandson Erich Christ. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634 -1701). Visiting on Tuesday form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 1:00 from St. George's Anglican Church.
