PAULINE ROSA MAGEE

MAGEE, PAULINE ROSA - The death of Mrs. Pauline Rosa (Walsh) Magee, wife of the late Hillis D. Magee of Saint John West occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 9, 2009. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Ludia (Mitton) and Wallace Walsh. Pauline is survived by her children; Marcia (William) McClelland of Ottawa, Dianne Magee of Saint John, Wendy Magee (Paul McCracken) of Grand Bay - Westfield, Daniel Magee of Bocabec and Mark (Jean) Magee of Quispamsis, brother Peter (Annabelle) Walsh of Carter's Point, sisters Roberta Scott of Ottawa and Judi Walsh of Etobicoke, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her extended family at Father Ray and George Riley Manor. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Joy Karam, and brothers Lester and Victor Walsh. For most of her life Pauline was a full time homemaker who enjoyed sharing her excellent cooking, sewing and knitting skills with her many friends and relatives. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and there was always room for one more at her table. Pauline also worked part time for Reid's Diner and Dorinne's Flower Shop. Pauline was a lifelong member of the Church of the Good Shepherd where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Choir, Altar Guild and the ACW. She also enjoyed volunteering at Ridgewood Veteran's Wing and for the Saint John Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services as an interpreter. Her strong Christian faith led her to touch many lives in her quiet and private way. In keeping with Pauline's wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). A Celebration of Pauline's life will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. from the Church of the Good Shepherd, 668 Manawagonish Rd. Immediately following the service a reception will take place in the church hall. Interment in the Church of the Good Shepherd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauline's memory to the Church of the Good Shepherd or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by family.
