GARVIN, LINDA LEE - loving wife of Laurence (Larry) James Garvin, passed away on Monday May 11, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1951 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late William and Lena (Mitchell) Reid. Linda was a lifelong resident of East Saint John, graduated from Simonds High School in 1969 and NBCC Saint John in Business Administration. Linda worked for Saint John Port Authority for 33 years, retiring in January 2008. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her time at the cottage. She was an avid bowler with the Monday and Thursday night leagues at the Bowlarama and also with the provincial team. Besides her loving husband Larry, she is survived by her daughter Shelley Michaud (Shane); son Robert Garvin (Kristy); grandchildren Quinn, Zachary and Layla Garvin and Kaelan Michaud; sister Marion Drummond; brothers William Reid (Sharon) and Charles Reid (Heather); sister-in-law Patty Reid; grandmother Genevieve Wilson; many aunts, uncles and cousins; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brother-in-law Armond Drummond and aunt Agnes Mitchell. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday May 13, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday May 14, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
