HAINES, VILIS "VI" - of Indianapolis, passed away May 11, 2009. She was born May 20, 1920 in a farmhouse at Head of Millstream, New Brunswick, Canada. Vi was the youngest daughter of 19 children born to the late Charles Henry and Hannah (Frazee) Hayes. She was part of the headquarters staff of OMS International for over 36 years in Los Angeles and Indianapolis, retiring in 1988. She also served as a missionary to Columbia, South America from 1959 to 1962. Vi married Paul E. Haines on March 15, 1962 in Los Angeles, CA, and he preceded her in death in January of 1976. She is survived by a large and loving family which spans Canada and the United States. Funeral and Interment was held on May 16 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Immediate family survivors are a brother Lloyd (Wilhemina) Saint John, N.B. and a sister Luella Smith, Yarmouth, N.S. A private family Memorial Service for Vilis is being held June 13th, 2009 at 1:30 pm in the Head of Millstream Wesleyan Church.
