DEMERCHANT, JOYCE - of Tobique Narrows passed away at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on May 21, 2009. Born in Medford, NB, on September 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Eveleigh and Pauline (Brayall) Goodine. Joyce leaves behind her husband of over 53 years John "Jack" DeMerchant; her sons Michael DeMerchant (Patricia) of Saint John, Chris DeMerchant (Brenda) of Perth-Andover, Greg DeMerchant (Charlene) of Fredericton; sisters Sheila Gillespie and Sharon Hicks, both of Fredericton; her brother Clifton Goodine (Nancy) of Perth-Andover; her grandchildren Ciara, Jordan, Nicole, and Tanya DeMerchant. Before retirement, Joyce worked as a Registered Nurse. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 11 am from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Father Curtis Sappier officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
