BACON, BETH DAWN - July 29, 1959 - May 20, 2009 - After a valiant fight with breast cancer, it is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Betty, Beth Bacon. Surrounded in love by her whole family, Beth passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Beth and Pete's home was a central meeting place for friends and family where you ate in abundance and laughed just as much. Beth's love for her family and friends was expressed through her culinary skills and we were more than happy to feed on that love. Her sense of humour and giving nature will be immeasurably missed by all who knew and loved her. Cherished and loving mother to Calista Bannister. Best friend and Great Love of spouse Peter Bannister. Greatly missed by her Mom, Lorraine Bacon (Davis) her Dad, Don Bacon and her stepmother, Cheryl of St. Andrews, NB. Appreciated and loved by her In-laws Bob (predeceased) and June Bannister. Loved, valued and big Sister to Scott (Pam Dixon) Brad (Cathy) Brenda (Scott Sheppard) and Gaylyn (Sean O'Driscoll); step-brothers Chris and Shawn Royal. Also greatly missed by Nieces and nephews Brent Bacon and his mother Karen, Marc Bacon, Tyler, Mackenzie, William and Sam Sheppard, Griffin and Quinn O'Driscoll and Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in New Brunswick; sister-in-Law Jane and Michael McNabb, their children Aaron and Sarah; brother-in-law Paul Bannister. Survived by cousins in St. John, NB, Cindy Estabrooks, Sharon Josselyn, Sandra McKenrey. Pre- deceased by her grandparents, Frank and Dottie Bacon, Everette and Freda Davis and her Aunt Betty Bacon. She'll be fondly remembered by her close friends and neighbours, "Her Girls" and friends at Shoppers in Bright's Grove and her "Dominion Gang". A celebration of Beth's life will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Smith Funeral Home on the Golden Mile (1576 London Line), at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception.
