ROGERS, ELMA STEEVES - Mrs. Elma Steeves-Rogers of Sussex passed away on May 23, 2009 at the age of 87. Born in Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Albina (Bell) Dole. Elma is survived by her daughter, Brenda Burgess (Bryan) of Halifax; her son, Gerald Steeves and her grandson, Sean Alward both of Vancouver, BC; her sister, Freda Cliffe (Bill) of Peterborough. On; as well as nieces and nephews. Elma was predeceased by her first husband Gordon Steeves who passed away in 1979 and by her second husband John Rogers who passed away in 1994; her brother, Wyman and her sister, Marjorie. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Hampton Chapter Lord Beaverbrook #33 OES will hold a tribute Wednesday evening at 6:00pm. A Celebration of Elma's life will be held from Trinity Anglican Church on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
