THOMAS, ELIZABETH B. - Elizabeth Beatrice Thomas went peacefully to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2009 surrounded by her family at Rocmaura Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. Born at Hanford Brook, NB on April 17, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Maude (King) Allen, and was predeceased by a brother, Henry Allen and husbands Wilson Loughery and Borden Thomas. Elizabeth is survived by one son, Clarke (Marie), Tynemouth Creek, NB; grandsons Kevin (Pauline) and Ronald (Connie); four great grandsons and one great granddaughter; one brother, Ronald (Vera) Allen of Saint John; five sisters, Crena Knowlton of Oromocto, Bernice Brown of Calgary, AB, Elfrida Weston of Fairfield, and Lois Barton of Saint John; a sister-in-law, Catherine Allen of Toronto; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM from Brenan's Chapel with Rev. Robert Rydwansky officiating. Interment will take place in Mosher Hill Cemetery, St. Martins, followed by a reception at the Fairfield Baptist Church Hall.
