VALPY, CHARLES DUMARESQ "CHARLIE" - Passed away, peacefully with family, on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 13, 1930 in Percé, Quebec. He was the son of the late Dumaresq and Laura (Tardif) Valpy. He is survived by his wife, Paula; son, Burton; daughter, Cheryl; brother, Richardson (Fran); sister, Nancy Dolbel and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joan Brunner. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Friday, May 29, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home. A reception will be held at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre, immediately following the service. Interment will take place this summer in Percé, Quebec. Donations, in memory of Charles, may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Hampton United Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
