THERIAULT, ARNE ALDEN - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on June 2, 2009 following a lengthy illness, Mr. Arne Alden Theriault, husband of Barbara Ann (McCarthy) Theriault of Fairhaven NB. Born at Deer Island on January 18, 1932 he was a son of the late Meriton Richter and Alma Mae (Calder) Theriault. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Barbara Ann he is survived by one daughter, Krista (Oliver) Cull of Fairhaven NB, special granddaughter, Tanesha Lindi of Fairhaven NB, two sisters; Evangeline Allen of St. George NB and Lillian Olsson of Calais ME, one sister-in-law, Janet Theriault of Bayside NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Arne was predeceased by one brother, Russell Theriault and by one sister, Melda Bowmaster. Prior to his retirement, Arne worked for the HW Welch Co. a Division of Connor's Bros. where he held many positions including working on various boats, scaling, hauling freight and was Plant Manager for over 30 years. Arne served on the Fisherman's Loan Board. In his retirement he was an avid gardener who enjoyed spending all his free time with his special granddaughter. A time of visitation will be held at Arne's home at 1 Calders Head Road in Fairhaven on Thursday afternoon and evening. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday at 2 pm at the Fairhaven Community Cemetery at Calder's Head, NB with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. In Arne's memory donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
