TONGE, FRANK - The death of Frank Tonge, of Damascus occurred unexpectedly on Friday June 5, 2009 at his residence. Born 1930 in Wallace, NS he was the son of the late Herbert and Margaret (Moody) Tonge. He had worked as a Pipe fitter for Local 213 for many years. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed. He is survived by his son Wayne (Sandra); daughters Bonnie Rattray (Gerry), Barbara Ernst (Gary) and Tammy Roy (Stephen); step son Ronnie Brehault; step daughters Laurie Christensen (Tom), Beth Hooper (Chris), Linda Carver (Rob) and Kim Royal (Rob); brothers Herbert Tonge and Leonard Tonge (Doreen); sisters Lucy Getchell (George) and Vera Stevenson (Bob); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (McKay) Tonge, brothers Albert and George (Ed) Tonge, and sister Elise Jamieson. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday June 10, 2009 at 12 noon. The family will receive visitors from 10 am until service time.
