THOMPSON, LILLIAN IRENE - A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station at 2:30 p.m. to celebrate the life of the late Lillian I. Thompson, formerly of Harvey, who passed away February 19, 2009 at Saint John, NB. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Born in 1922 at York Mills, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ward and Emily (Kingston) Little. "Lil" was a Registered Nurse in Harvey and Saint John. She enjoyed the summers at Harvey Lake and collected dolls as a hobby. She was an avid reader and followed politics intently, especially her Liberal party. She was predeceased by her husband, J.O.E. Thompson. She is survived by her three sons, John Thompson and his wife, Pauline of Harvey Station, NB, Dr. David Thompson and his wife, Dr. Gretchen Zimmerman of Houston, Texas, Barry Thompson and his wife, Susan Guravich of Fredericton, NB; a daughter, Joan Chiasson and her husband, Joe of Dartmouth, NS; five grandchildren, Ross and his wife Danielle and their daughter Elle, Kimberley and Jurgen and their son Fischer, Richard, Rebecca and Kate.
