MAYO, BERNARD EDWARD - After a brief illness, he left us peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on Tuesday, June 9th, 2009, at the age of 81. Bernard is survived by his loving wife, Alice. Predeceased by his first wife Audrey Costen. Dear father of Brian (Laura), Ellen (Jim), Brenda, Glenn (Janice), Gail (Bill), Susan (Pat), and Gary (Kim). Loving grandfather of seventeen grandchildren. Bernard will also be missed by his sister Elizabeth Bass, Joyce Mayo and brothers Mark (Joan), John, Gerald and his many nieces and nephews. Bernard is predeceased by his brothers Medley and Brian. Bernard enjoyed using his skills and knowledge of carpentry and construction to help others. His greatest pastime was tending his vegetable garden and sharing it with family and friends. Visitation to be held on Sunday, June 14th, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 from the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ANCASTER CHAPEL, 378 Wilson Street East. Funeral service on Monday, June 15th at 11am from the Ancaster Chapel. Cremation to follow.
