DOUCETTE, SHIRLEY JOSEPHINE - The death of Shirley Josephine Doucette occurred on Friday June 12, 2009 at the Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John, on July 23, 1929. Wife of the late Ernest S. Doucette. Surviving are sons: Paul (Cheryl) Melanson, Lower Greenwich and David Melanson, Quispamsis. Step children, Annette (Walter) Saint John, Yvone (Albert) Bathurst, Beth (Ronald) Saint John, Romeo (Marjorie) Kingston Peninsula, Alice (Pierre) Bathurst, Linda (Danny) Halifax, N.S., Germaine (Ray) Niagra Falls, Ontario. Brothers and sisters: Hector London, Ontario, Edgar (Brenda) Edmonton, Alberta, Leonard (Shirley) Jonquier, Quebec, Roger (Carmen) Oromocto, N.B., Louis (Marie) Moncton, N.B., Lawrence (Linda) Saint John, Donald (Lise) North Bay, Ontario, Alice (Gerald) Rogersville, N.B., Zelia, Saint John, N.B., Jeannie (Gerald) Saint John and Rose Marie (Ray) Moncton, N.B.; grandchildren, René, Natasha, Samantha, Amanda, Rebecca(Anthony) and Karen (Robin); several great-grandchildren; a sister Frances Kierstead. Predeceased by her parents John and Marion (Best) Fitzpatrick and a brother John Fitzpatrick. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John, (646-2424).
