GILCHRIST, ERMA RUTH - The death of The death of Erma Ruth Gilchrist, age 72, of Norton, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on June 19, 2009. The wife of Jim Gilchrist and the daughter of the late Gordon and Ruth (Reid) Tays. She was born in Passekeag, NB on September 28, 1936. Erma is survived by her husband; daughter Colleen and Wayne Winchester of St. Stephen; sons Jamie and Donna Gilchrist of Norton, Rob and Paula Gilchrist of Ottawa, ON; grandchildren Cole, Hannah, Claire, Matthew, Jonathan, Joshua; sisters Thelma Bowes, Marilyn and Mark Witt; brothers Gordon and Pat Tays, Allison Tays; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Lorna Lutterll; brothers Harold and Donald. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, from St. Andrew's United Church, Norton.
