MACKENZIE KING "KEN" DUNLOP
DUNLOP, MACKENZIE KING "KEN" - The death of Ken Dunlop of St. Martins, NB, husband of the late Nora Elizabeth (Smith) Dunlop occurred June 22, 2009 at Ridgewood Veterans Wing, Saint John. He was born in Greer Settlement, NB son of the late Henry and Rebecca (Black) Dunlop. Ken was a veteran of WWII serving with the North Shore Regiment. He was a Life Member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #63, former member of the vestry and corporation Holy Trinity Anglican Church, St. Martins, and the Electrical Union #2282 (Saint John Shipbuilding). He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Verner, St. Martins; two sons, Kenneth Dunlop and John Dunlop (Deborah), St. Martins; one sister Jennie Miller, Saint John; three grandchildren, Rebecca Bobby (Pradeep), St. John's, NL, Melanie Dunlop (Pete Rice), Kingston, ON, Erin Dunlop, St. Martins; five nieces and eight nephews. He was predeceased by infant daughter Nora Jean, brother Eric and sisters, Annie, Laura and Edna. Resting at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, St. Martins, with visitation Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and a legion tribute at 6:30pm. The funeral will be held Friday, 10:30am at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Interment in Mosher Hill Cemetery.
