TAYS, GORDON REID - The death of Gordon Reid Tays, loving husband of Patricia (Martin) Tays, occurred on Monday June 22nd, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1934 in Passekeag, NB he was the son of the late H. Gordon and Ruth (Reid) Tays. Gordon owned and operated Tays Home Improvements. He was a member of RCL Kennebecasis Branch, Adanac Club; volunteer for East Saint John Food Bank and Meals on Wheels. He was a member of Full Gospel Assembly for many years. Besides his loving wife Patricia, he is survived by his sons Gordon Tays, Gregory Tays (Natalie), Brad Tays, Scott Tays (Shannon), Kent Tays (Abbie) and Phillip Reid; daughter Kelly Levesque (Jeffery); stepsons James Moyer (Bonnie) and Shawn Moyer; step daughters Kimberly Lyttle (David) and Pamela LeBlanc (Phillip); brother Allison Tays; sisters Thelma Bowes and Marilyn Witt (Mark); 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild; his little companion Max; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Harold and Donald Tays and sisters Lorna Luttrell and Erma Gilchrist. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Full Gospel Assembly on Friday June 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. Following cremation a private family interment will take place in Titus Hill Cemetery at a later date.
